Dragon Band Upcoming Trips - Indianapolis and London

Indianapolis (BOA GN) trip presentation: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zPVC83f5A0s1wDnMD5Cc7H1rwFJTglIU/view?usp=share_link

Points made in the meeting about the Indianapolis trip, not already in the presentation:

  • All students who earn a spot in our Varsity Marching Band are expected to attend

  • We have not yet had auditions for next Fall so students do not yet know which group they'll march in - MTC is aware of this and signups can and will take place after the initial sign up date.

  • The money each student raises for Band A Thon (August) will offset the cost of their trip if they're traveling and will go to the activity account if not

  2. Friends & family will have their own coaches to/from events

  3. Friends & family travelers will be included in all performance related events

  4. Friends & family travelers will have their own Tour Director they will “report” to

  5. Friends & family traveler activities will NOT always coincide with the band activities, for a variety of reasons…separation, group management, entrance availability, etc.

  6. Friends & family travelers will overlap for things like time at Borough Market or if there is a block of time in Covent Gardens, etc.

  7. Friends & family package will likely include ONE meal a day (breakfast), leaving the others at the leisure of the travelers

  8. Friends & family Airfare – working out best way to handle this, along with not returning with the group, stay tuned for further information
