Dragon Band Upcoming Trips - Indianapolis and London
Indianapolis (BOA GN) trip presentation: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zPVC83f5A0s1wDnMD5Cc7H1rwFJTglIU/view?usp=share_link
Points made in the meeting about the Indianapolis trip, not already in the presentation:
All students who earn a spot in our Varsity Marching Band are expected to attend
The trip is also open to students in the Junior Varsity Marching Band who would like to attend as part of our Crew (helpers)
We have not yet had auditions for next Fall so students do not yet know which group they'll march in - MTC is aware of this and signups can and will take place after the initial sign up date.
The money each student raises for Band A Thon (August) will offset the cost of their trip if they're traveling and will go to the activity account if not
If you are interested in being a chaperon for this trip please complete this form, do not yet sign up with MTC: https://forms.gle/5v8NJFhyQDALLUXm8

Points made in the meeting about the London trip, not already in the presentation:
This trip is open to all band and color guard students
Funds raised over 50 bags of mulch sales (in January) will go towards this trip. The money each student raises by selling any number over the first 50 bags of mulch will offset the cost of their trip for those traveling. The first 50 bags will go towards the activity account

We WILL be offering a Fan Package through MTC for London
Here is how it will work:
Friends & family hotel will be separate from the band hotel
Friends & family will have their own coaches to/from events
Friends & family travelers will be included in all performance related events
Friends & family travelers will have their own Tour Director they will “report” to
Friends & family traveler activities will NOT always coincide with the band activities, for a variety of reasons…separation, group management, entrance availability, etc.
Friends & family travelers will overlap for things like time at Borough Market or if there is a block of time in Covent Gardens, etc.
Friends & family package will likely include ONE meal a day (breakfast), leaving the others at the leisure of the travelers
Friends & family Airfare – working out best way to handle this, along with not returning with the group, stay tuned for further information
